WORLD SCOUT JAMBOREE 2015

What's this all this about?

My Queen's Guide Award may be finished but that doesn't mean that my epic adventures in Guiding have stopped. In fact they have gotten even bigger!

I have been selected to attend the 23rd World Scout Jamboree in Japan in 2015. For 10 days in July and August next year 30,000 Scouts and Guides from 162 countries will decend on one campsite near Yamaguchi City in the south of Japan to form a global city of new people, new experiences, learning and loads of fun!

I'm not going as a participant or as a leader looking after the kids. Instead I am part of the International Service Team. We'll be the ones that are keeping the whole thing running smoothly (I hope) from cleaning toilets, running activities, serving up food to looking after the media.

To take part in this amazing event I have to raise the funds to go - to pay my way and also to make a donation to Scouts/Guides in other countries to help them join in too.

This page will keep everyone up to date with what I am doing and how much I have raised so far.

The easiest way to donate is to make a money transfer via Paypal. My e-mail address for this: abigailinjapan@gmail.com. (Don't forget to click the "family/friends" box!)
